Beginning tomorrow 8th grade students can begin applying to High Schools by going to myschools.nyc.
Most families already have a myschools account from applying for Middle School. If you did not apply for Middle School through the myschools site, please contact Julie, the Parent Coordinator at [email protected] for an account creation code. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset at the myschools site.
There is a very informative school directory on the myschools site with information about programs offered, admissions criteria for each school and how to apply.
In addition, there is a very helpful website called Inside Schools Also, school websites will have information about tours, prep programs for auditions, and more.
It is very important that every student put as MANY schools as possible on their application - the best application has all 12 spaces filled. Putting fewer schools on the application puts your student at risk of being admitted to a school they did not choose.
